The OneAuth-entication you Need, Now on Windows

"Passwords cannot meet the challenge of keeping critical information secure", said Bill Gates about fifteen years ago at the RSA security conference. Ever since, technologists have been plotting the demise of passwords but the shift to a password free world will take a lot longer than expected.

Amidst this transition came about the idea of multi factor authentication, which adds extra layers of security and makes the entire process of data breach much more strenuous for the hacker.

Zoho has used this ideology to provide ultimate security for its users via the application OneAuth. This application allows you to access your Zoho account from anywhere as long as you complete the second authentication step.

So far, this app supported only Zoho's cloud applications. Now, we are introducing a major update that extends support for securing Windows machines as well.

OneAuth provides four modes of authentication, namely: biometric touch ID (or face ID), push notification, QR code and time-based OTP. It even generates offline tokens for when your primary device goes offline.

OneAuth can be installed in multiple devices and you can choose to set one among them as the primary device. All you need to do is install the OneAuth software in your Windows machine and your mobile device. While logging on to Windows, you will have to go through one of the chosen authentication steps, for example, a time-based OTP or fingerprint.

To learn more about this feature and how it can benefit you and your company, log on to our webinar on the 4th of May, 10 a.m. IST. Besides learning about the new features that this update is about to introduce, we discuss:

  • New ways to utilize Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
  • Barriers to 2FA
  • Enabling 2FA for both local and remote desktop logons
